A platform for family business discovery

A Personal Note:

Dear Reader,

What business insights are hiding in our family histories? When does it make sense to move family activities into the marketplace? What can we learn from enterprises that thrived—and those that didn't survive?

These are the questions driving my exploration of how family and business intersect. The idea has been haunting me for a while, historically in private. Thoughts interrupt my work. Questions compel me to understand more. When enough information accumulates, something has to come out. Usually, I talk to the water. Sometimes I talk to myself. But I am always writing something down.

This is how I process—turning observations into insights, questions into research, patterns into frameworks. What you'll find here is that process moved from post-it notes, internet searches and journal entries to this platform - formalized but still exploratory. It’s a glimpse into the continual ticker running in my brain - my random (or not so random) thoughts made visible: the journey from curiosity to understanding, documented as I discover insights worth sharing.

With gratitude,

Alisha
